Back to Hardman, Oregon to share another fantastic Christmas romance! A follow up to "The Bargain" and "The Token", both completely enjoyable and entertaining Romances. (See Reviews). All of our favorite characters are back as their life and love continues. This is about Luke Hardmans assistant Arlan and his lack of prospects for love besides the prickly school teacher he's now seeing.

That is until, while riding one day he comes across "The Amazing Alex", whom he thinks beautiful but maybe a little crazy! She's headed to town alone with her stage wagon and the wheel has broken when Arlan comes across her. She's a magician and has been traveling all over the country alone. He's never known anyone like her and despite her beauty and slide, not sure he really wants to!

Still, as the gentleman, he assists her in getting to Hardman to get her wagon fixed and slowly starts to discover there's a lot more to this crazy lady. He fights the attraction, trying to stick by the prickly school teacher but he's having a hard time as he slowly comes to know how amazing she truly is!

Alex has a big problem! She was attracted to Arlan from the beginning. There are many things in the way though. She knows she wouldn't be a proper companion to a banker and she also has to make sure she moves on as quickly as possible because she has a big secret and trouble on the horizon!

I loved the story! Shanna writes with so much depth and emotion that I couldn't put it down! It's a beautiful and heartwarming story filled with emotion, romance, mystery and fun! Not only that but I really enjoyed revisiting Luke and Filly, Ginny and Blake with their continuing love stories built into a beautifully captivating new one!

I highly recommend this clean but very romantic Christmas heartwarming story to anyone who wants to get lost in the great town of Hardman!

Her wagon breaks down in the middle of nowhere. He shows up & arranges the help she needs. But it's gonna cost a fortune to fix. She becomes the substitute teacher & wins over the children, town & our hero with her charm & tricks. There are bad guys after her, so there's intrigue, romance, laughter & romance. It is a clean, sweet, wholesome romance. I really enjoyed it!
The story line was very interesting and held my attention. The characters were presented well. The passionate kisses were a bit too much for a Christian novel. I would be hesitant to recommend this for this reason. What we read or watch often effects our moral compass. Being along in a cabin could likely be problematic yet they continued. Someone else might do the same thing and mess up their life.
Another of Shanna Hatfield's sweet stories. You don't have to read the stories that preceded it in the series, but you will want to once you meet some of the town's characters.

A lady magician comes to town and is welcomed into the tight knit community. A Gentleman captures her heart and she his. Sweet story and nice to check in with the characters I got to know from the other books. No cliffhangers just sweet story telling.
I loved every book in this series (although the first book was my favorite). The author does a phenomenal job at developing the characters and making you feel like you are right there in the town. I'm not usually a huge fan of these types of stories but Shanna Hatfield does such a wonderful job, I was hooked after the first book and read all of the books in the series and then started downloading her other books as well.
This book delighted me with the teaching aspect. What a treasure to have a teacher with this type of attitude to the children. She truly delights in these children and it is shown in both the rewards & the discipline and also her creative ideas in her teaching methods. Add to that the love and respect the children develop for her. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the first three books by Ms. Hatfield and am looking forward to the last three.

I so enjoyed this third book in the Hardman Holiday series. After reading The Christmas Bargain and The Christmas Token, I was very taken with Arlan and wished for him to have a book of his own. And of course, he would have to have a beautiful heroine to round out the story and a hea and the author gave him one in the form of Alex. Shanna Hatfield wrote another wonderful book filled with humor, romance, family and a little suspense. She brought back the wonderful characters from the previous books along with new ones that added to the story, especially the little children. This book can be read by itself but for added pleasure, I recommend starting with the first one. A wonderful clean romance you can enjoy now and anytime of the year and one I will enjoy again. JudyE
What a marvelous story! It has everything a reader could possibly want--joy, sorrow, intrigue, love--anything you could think of. Fortunately, the author has avoided the pitfall which so many authors seem to think is necessary--a part of the story hanging to force us to purchase the next book. This story is complete, although I am sure stories about other characters in the book, or referred to in the book are available in the series.
I can't wait to read more by Shanna Hatfield.
